Current release v0.3.1
30 days, in full
The trial is not a demo: it is Sift, all of it. After 30 days a licence key unlocks the machine, and your index, favourites and collections stay exactly where they are.

The installers on this page are the same for everyone: download the one you need, then activate it with your key. Your order page is what keeps that key.

Known status per platform
What is still missing is named rather than left unsaid.
- LINUX
- Drag-out is not yet implemented under Wayland. Under an X11 session, XDND works.
- WINDOWS
- Sift stores its data somewhere other than where Windows usually puts it. No effect on use.
What is UCS?
The Universal Category System, the naming standard of the trade. Sift understands it natively: filtering by category, and renaming files to the convention when you edit metadata.
Which formats are supported?
WAV, BWF, RF64, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, MP3, M4A and CAF for playback. Cutting without loss applies to the WAV/BWF/RF64 family.
What are the requirements?
A recent computer running Windows or Linux, and a little disk space. The first pass over a very large library takes a while, and lets you work while it does.
Does Sift replace my current library manager?
It covers the same step of the job: search, audition, cut, send to the project. It reads your files where they already are and forces no migration — you can run it alongside what you have while you make up your mind.
