Hosting
This site is self-hosted by its publisher, in France. The publisher is therefore also the host under French law: full details are to be completed before going live.
Sales and invoicing
Sift licences are sold by Lemon Squeezy LLC, acting as the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. The installers themselves are made available free of charge on this site. Lemon Squeezy issues the invoice, collects and remits applicable VAT, and provides the terms of sale you agree to at checkout.
Personal data
This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and collects no personal data. Data submitted during a purchase is processed by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy policy. The Sift software itself makes exactly two network requests, neither carrying personal data: validating your licence key with Lemon Squeezy, and checking GitHub for a newer version — the latter sends nothing at all, not even the version you are running, and can be turned off in the preferences. A Sift built from source makes none.
Software licence
Sift is distributed under a source-available licence, which is not the same as open source: the code is public, the licence is not a free-software licence. Redistributing binaries, re-hosting the sources or selling a derivative remains prohibited. The authoritative text is published on the repository.
